Current Projects

Poetry Book Project - based on the Faces of Cancer:  A project that began during my beloved Debra's cancer fight.  I often write poetry when I'm most vulnerable; this season of our family's life produced something so raw that it seems appropriate to share.  Since this time, I have shared experiences with family, friends and complete strangers with their unique struggles with cancer. This project is dedicated to daughters and sons, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives, and everyone in-between that has or will be facing cancer.

It is my sincerest hope that I honor the dignity and strength of these brave souls.

Project Update [1/15/2016]: I have written 26 of 130 (est.) rough-draft poems -- project progress is slow going since poetry is something that I need to "feel" in order to write.

Penny Fiction a Flash Fiction Competition: I'm presently engaged in authoring works for the yearly Penny Fiction competition. I'm delighted to report that I was recently selected as a runner-up and will be featured in the annual "From the Depths" publication.  -- read about it  â€‹ http://fb.me/4vt4CHm4E

"Haunted Waters Press seeks exceptionally small works of flash fiction to be showcased in Penny Fiction, a regular feature of the literary journal, From the Depths. Stories will also appear in the Penny Fiction Poster Collection."
